Where have I been?

First I went to another planet.  Remember?  I found all that stuff at the curb, next door, and brought it home.  Some of you called it "loot", others called it "finds".  I'm still working on those ideas.  Right now, (and I cannot even believe myself) everything is in EC's workshop primed (by me!) and ready to be transformed (by me!!)

Who am I?

I'm also tackling my 2nd slipcover EVER!  It's a doozey.  A wing back chair.  I hope to finish it tonight.  Because I'd really like to join threadneedle's Saturday Slip Cover Show Off again.  It was fun the first time!

Also, I've decided to be like a real designer and make up creative boards of each room that needs creative tweaking.  I'm really excited about this.  I prayed about it.  I know?  Odd.  But I'm not screwed on too tightly anyway.  Or whatever that saying is.  And this was the answer.  I'm hoping that the boards keep me on track. I get overwhelmed easily.  Like just today, after all day school with my sons, the entire neighborhood three children on our street came over to OUR house and bombarded us wanted to play.  I was about to go insane.  I don't do children very well.  Well, I love and adore children.  Their energy is so hyper that...well, I decided to go out for a walk.  Then one of my dogs nearly died because it's 86 here today.  OK.  Where am I?  Oh, stress.

Well, I was getting overwhelmed thinking about when I run out of rooms for my Monday Madness Makeovers - because once I show you the place I'm going to have to start transforming it.  Right?  It's a small house and the tour is almost over of the BEFOREs.  So, I gotta get started.

Do you think this post is long enough yet?

Hence, the creative boards.

I don't have any photos of what I've been working on because all I keep doing is working.  I'm taking photos along the way, but nothing's done YET.

So here are some CREATIVE LIFE PHOTOS of what has happened in the past week in my life.

Our beautiful friends got married in one of the sweetest and touching ceremonies I have ever been to.  Theirs is one of those God stories that warms the heart!

A CREATION OF LOVE

My three boys frolicked in the living room!

A CREATION OF JOY

Have a lovely weekend!  I'll be working hard on my projects!  Wish me luck!
Oh and I'll be stopping by to see what you gals have going on, too!!

XOXO

  1. Yes!
was wondering where you had been.

I want to see more of this creative board that you are talking about.

I don't have a creative board... I do have a book, that I jot things/ ideas/ project lists and need to buy lists into... I also glue pictures into it and make notes...
is that what you're talking about. Same thing, but mine isn't up on a wall or anything... it is a book.

can't wait to see the slip cover.
and funny you mentioned the tour and the before pictures...
It seems you and I live in a parallel universe or something.
I haven't shown too much of my house, because the before are just too frightening! and the afters well, they haven't happened yet!

glad to see your still bloggin'

  2. Well, funny girl, I thought you had been in La-la Land for a while. I'm thinking I could've been right. You know, too much paint can make you a bit loopy.lol.

Sounds like you have an active home life. Me? I would've lined those neighbor kids up in and had them finish all of those goodies you scored in assembly line style. Why did you let them get away?

I grew up in the country on a working farm, and when I would I invite friends over, they'd say "Is your mom gonna make us weed the garden? snap beans? rake leaves?"
I grew up in that time period where if you were at someone's house, you were just like one of their kids and had to chip in. I miss that life.

Are you that kind of mom? I bet the neighbor kids have fun at your house.

  3. lol, I was thinking of your post as I was going through my neighbors free stuff... He is a carpenter and often leaves a free sign out and yesterday was a whopper, but I have been retraining myself somewhat... Great, funny, post! Lezlee

  6. Wow. You are one busy woman. I'm not worthy. I am intersted in seeing more of your creative boards. Interesting concept.

I am passing on a Sunshine Award to you. You can grab the image off of my latest post and then pass it on to twelve other bloggers. Link them in your post and let them know about the award. A lot of work but you deserve the validation.
    Hugs and Happy Easter,
    Pam @ Becolorful
